The Atlanta Dream turned in its best regular season in franchise history, finishing with its best win percentage and a record 30 wins. Atlanta has its eyes set on another major milestone entering the 2025 WNBA playoffs.

The Dream begin their quest for the WNBA championship in franchise history with a matchup against the No. 6 seed Indiana Fever Sunday. The Dream enter the playoffs firing on all cylinders, with the second-best offense and defense in the league this season.

All-star guard Allisha Gray is averaging a career-high 18.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists, while Rhyne Howard is coming off a 37-point performance against the Los Angeles Sparks on Sept. 5. Howard is the first WNBA player to make nine 3-pointers in multiple games.

"You got to have all of the focus going into the playoffs," said Dream center Brittney Griner, who had a team-high 17 points off the bench in the Dream's regular-season finale against the Connecticut Sun on Sept. 10. "It's going to take every single one of us. Starters, the bench, everybody. Because playoffs are a different beast."

The Fever are not at full strength after losing multiple players for the season due to injuries, including guard Caitlin Clark, but a career year from veteran Kelsey Mitchell kept Indiana in postseason contention. Fever coach Stephanie White said the Dream's "size at all positions" and ability to space the floor will be a challenge, but noted the Fever "are going to have to combat that with our discipline."
