The soap opera veteran tells PEOPLE that landing the role came with a mix of emotions. Mosley, who's mom to two daughtersAurora Imani, 7, andWilla Josephine, 4, with partner John Rogers, says leading a daytime drama was something she "worked so hard" to achieve. But along with "complete joy and excitement," also came the realization that she'd have to move her family of four from Los Angeles to Atlanta.

"[Nothing] against Atlanta, I just hadn't been there. It wasn't on my radar that that's where I was going to move. And I've moved so many times in my life as an actor, but never with a family," Mosley explains. "It was a big adjustment for everybody."

After spending over a year in the bustling Southern city, the doting mom says that her family has adjusted to the move. In fact, Mosley, who grew up in New York, admits that life in Atlanta has "grown" on her.

"The people are dope," she says. "We have got great community. My kids love their schools, so I'm like, 'Okay, there is a plan. God had a plan, [and] it's bigger than mine.'"

For Mosley, making the change was "worth it." She tells PEOPLE that seeing her face on the poster as one of the leads ofBeyond the GatesalongsideClifton Davis,Tamara TunieandDaphnée Duplaixis a "honor" that she will never take for granted.

"On those nights when I'm really tired and I have two scripts the next day, but I have to put my kids to bed, and I'm like, 'How am I going to get it all together?' I have to dig deep and figure out how to do it and to continue to do good work, because the thing about soap operas is it is very easy to get into a rhythm and to feel you don't have to do quite as much, but you get as much as you give," Mosley explains.

"That's a lot of material, and we only get one or two takes, so you're going to have some moments that don't quite go where you want them to go, and you have to be able to let those go," she adds. "But I want to have as few of those as possible because that's what it means to lead."

With every script she reads, Mosley says she sees herself in the pages and understands the impact of sharing authentic stories with the world. However, nothing reminds her of the importance of her role quite like meeting people who were positively impacted by what they saw onscreen.

"When I go to church or to the grocery store or I'm traveling and people come up and they reflect on their experience with the material... When they talk about their family members or their own journeys, those are the moments when I realized how important the work that we're doing is," she says.

With the soap opera in its second season, Mosley believes her character is exactly where she's supposed to be. She also teases that viewers will get to see a different side to Dani Dupree as the season progresses.

"She is kind of settling into the life that she's always wanted, what she imagined life would be like with Bill [portrayed by Timon Kyle Durrett], what she gave up her career for, she's now having all these years later," she shares. "She gets to have her career on her terms as someone who's more settled in her skin and she gets to have this love that's deep and fun and exciting, but also committed. And then she's also getting to be there for her mother."

"While Nicole [portrayed by Duplaix] is becoming a little bit more of the wild child, Dani [has] always felt like a black sheep in the family, the sort of unreliable one [and] the emotional one," she adds. "And now she gets to connect with her mother, .. and I think those moments are so special and really deeply important to her."

He has relied on a low-carb diet and cardio workouts to sustain his weight loss

Drew Careyhas always been open about his weight loss and health journey, which began more than a decade ago.

"I was sick of being fat on the camera. Really, I just got sick of it,"The Price Is Righthost told PEOPLE in 2010. "Once I started losing weight, again, like once I started dropping a couple pant sizes, then it was easy 'cause once you see the results, then you don't wanna stop."

Though it's been 16 years since the longtime comedian dropped 80 lbs. and went from a size 44 to a size 33, he's been able to keep it off using his tried-and-true method of diet and exercise. Carey does "lots of cardio" and keeps most of his meals carb-free.

During a March 2026 appearance onTed Danson's podcast,Where Everybody Knows Your Name, Carey said he had a heart attack in 2001 but didn't realize what it was at first.

The day after he said his "heart rate went upto something really crazy" during a jog. At first, Carey brushed his symptoms off, but when he went to the hospital the following day, he learned that he'd had a heart attack and felt motivated to work on his health.

He prioritized his health after a diabetes diagnosis

During his first year as host ofThe Price Is Right, Carey told PEOPLE in March 2024 he would go out to a diner after filming and order pasta, a cupcake and an iced tea "with a bunch of lemons." Then he'd go home and eat Doritos, drink "several Pepsis" and take an Ambien before heading to bed.

"It wasmiserable to live like that," he explained, adding that his doctor gave him a wakeup call when he diagnosed him with type 2 diabetes. Carey said his doctor warned him that if he didn't change his lifestyle, his life was "going to be shorter" and that he would have "bad things to look forward to."

The formerWhose Line Is It Anyway?star was also diagnosed with heart disease in 2001 and had to undergo an angioplasty, perParade. He also had a stent inserted into one of his arteries.

The warning from his doctor gave Carey the push he needed to change his lifestyle. He toldParadethat in November 2009, he had set a goal to go from 262 lbs. to 170 lbs. by the following year — and almost succeeded, losing 80 of the 92 lbs. he wanted to shed.

"I look in the mirror and I feel like I'm in my 20s again," he told the outlet in September 2010. "I feel like I have my whole life back. I could live to be 100 now."

He does cardio workouts multiple times a week

Carey also credits his choice of exercise for helping him maintain his weight loss. The comedian told PEOPLE he does 45-minute cardio workouts several times a week. Though those workouts began on the elliptical, he took up running after he lost weight.

"I knew having a running goal or a race coming up would give me a little more motivation," Carey toldRunner's Worldin August 2011. "I actually was worried about the pounding, but I actually love running more than working out on the elliptical. Now if I get on the elliptical, I feel like I'm trapped."

In August 2010, he ran his first 10K in nearly 25 years.

He joked he's lost "1,000 lbs." over his lifetime

As the host ofThe Price Is Rightcan attest, keeping the weight off year after year is no easy feat. He joked with PEOPLE that he's lost somewhere around "1,000 lbs." over his "whole life."

Though Carey has noted that weight loss left him feeling great, the best reward was the improvement in his health. In addition to shedding the lbs., the comedian reported that he had reversed his type 2 diabetes and no longer needed medication.

"I always thought I was going to die before I was 60," he toldParade."My father died of a heart attack in his 40s. I'm not an idiot. The writing was on the wall."

He said he mostly avoids carbs

As for his nutrition, Carey has kept the weight off by eating "no carbs." The former host ofThe Drew Carey Showtold PEOPLE that he stays away from "starches of any kind" and opts for protein like grilled chicken and snacks like vegetables and fruit.

Per theMayo Clinic, carbohydrates are part of a healthy diet and are needed to provide a source of energy for the body, particularly the brain.

He called his weight loss "freeing"

Carey has been able to maintain his 80-lb. weight loss "more or less" for over a decade. For him, the real victory isn't physical, but emotional.

"It's better being like this," he explained to PEOPLE. "I love myself enough now to want that for myself and desire that for myself. It's a whole kind of change of mindset that you have to have about your whole life. ... but once you do, it's so freeing."

New Mexico investigators search Epstein's former ranch

STANLEY, New Mexico, March 9 (Reuters) - Investigators in New Mexico began searching on Monday the former high-plains ranch of Jeffrey Epstein where the late ‌financier and his acquaintances are accused of sexually abusing women and girls, state ‌authorities said.

Democratic-run New Mexico is acting on new information in documents released in January by the U.S. Department of Justice, including an accusation that Epstein ordered the bodies of two foreign girls buried in hills near the secluded property.

The search follows New Mexico Attorney General Raul Torrez's decision last month to reopen the investigation into the late sex offender's alleged criminal activities at the ranch 30 ‌miles (48 km) south of the ⁠state's capital of Santa Fe.

"The New Mexico Department of Justice will continue to keep the public appropriately informed, support the survivors, and follow the ⁠facts wherever they lead," it said in a statement.

On Monday, a Reuters witness heard dogs barking and saw a government vehicle bearing a paw-print symbol, suggesting it was carrying animals, leave the ranch. State police and a county fire and rescue vehicle were also spotted.

The Epstein files have ‌become a persistent political problem for President Donald Trump.

New Mexico closed its previous Epstein investigation in 2019 at the request of federal authorities. There has never been a full investigation of the alleged assaults by Epstein, his partner Ghislaine Maxwell and ranch visitors.

Last month, New Mexico became the first U.S. state to launch a legislative "truth commission" to uncover possible public corruption that ‌allowed Epstein to operate in secrecy at the ranch for 26 years before his death in 2019.

Epstein's estate sold the property in 2023 to Texas businessman Don Huffines who renamed it San Rafael Ranch.

The new owners ‌are cooperating with the investigation and granted access for the search, the department said.

The January 30 release of millions more files exposed Epstein's social connections with politicians, business people and scientists who he invited to the ranch.

Reuters/Ipsos polling shows most Americans view the Epstein ‌case as an example of wealthy and powerful people rarely being held accountable.

Amid a challenging time for both daytime and late-night talk shows, Barrymore's series has just enjoyed its most-watched season to date, averaging 1.6 million daily viewers.

Barrymore celebrated the renewal news in a statement provided toEntertainment Weekly. "What matters most to us is our viewers and the people that come here," she said. "This show began as a space for intimate conversation, and we're continuing to plant our flag as a truly multi-platform experience. We live in a world where people discover content in so many different ways, and from the very start in 2020, our mission was to break the mold rather than conform to the traditional daytime landscape."

Barrymore continued, "I hold myself accountable to staying savvy about how and where this show is seen — feeding every corner that counts, while daring to just be myself and figure out life with others. My curiosity about people is what fuels me. I'm so excited to continue as I see this endeavor as an opportunity and a gift."

Last month,Kelly Clarksonrevealed that she'd decided toendThe Kelly Clarkson Showafter seven seasons. She will continue to host through the fall. The announcement came months after the death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, the father of her children Remy and River Rose. Blackstock's death led Clarkson to postpone several of her Las Vegas residency datesin order to "be fully present" for their children.

The "Since U Been Gone" singer thanked her colleagues and fans of the series, explaining that her departure "was not an easy decision" and adding that it would give her time "to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives."

Hours later came the announcement thatShepherd's talk show had been canceledafter four seasons. Shepherd spoke to audiences about the cancellation Feb. 9, after having briefly stepped away during a bout with COVID-19.

"I want to thank you for laughing and crying with us," Shepherd said. "Thank you for supporting my unhealthy obsession with Lenny Kravitz. But I've got to tell you, when I first started, this show was built on one thing, and what I wanted it built on was joy. The intention of this show, always, was my prayer for you to leave happier than when you came. And you know this, I talked about this. It has been my dream to have a talk show, and I'm so grateful I had the chance to do it for four seasons."

However, the same report showed why O'Brien's advice matters more now. The Hollywood Reporter said CBS announced in July that it was canceling "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," calling it "purely a financial decision." But netizens connected it to an earlier Colbert criticism ofPresident Donald Trump.

Federal records show that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has paused a trademark application linked to Swift's phrase "The Life of a Showgirl." The filing was submitted by the singer's company, TAS Rights Management LLC.

The pause in Taylor Swift's federal application process does not mean the trademark request for the phrase "The Life of a Showgirl" has been denied. Instead, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) placed the application on hold while it evaluates two earlier marks that could potentially conflict with Swift's proposed title.

One of the marks prompting the delay is "Confessions of a Showgirl," a phrase registered in 2015 by Las Vegas performer Maren Wade. According toUSA Today, Wade originally filed the application in 2014. The USPTO later granted federal protection for the title in connection with entertainment services, including live performances, stage productions, television programming, and digital publications such as blogs and e-zines.

Because both Wade's trademark and Swift's proposed title use the phrase "of a showgirl," trademark examiners believe people might think the two brands are connected. This could cause confusion about whether they come from the same source.

A second factor affecting Swift's filing involves a separate trademark application for the single word "Showgirl." In December 2024, Harlem Brands Inc. applied to register "Showgirl" for a line of perfumes and related fragrance products. That application has already progressed through examination and received a Notice of Allowance.

Trademark attorney Josh Gerbenexplained in a recent blog postthat roughly one in five trademark applications encounters a similar outcome of refusal during the review process. "This type of refusal is fairly common. About 20% of all trademarks filed with the USPTO receive a similar refusal," he stated.

"The main point of this argument will be to persuade the USPTO that consumers are unlikely to think that 'Confessions of a Showgirl' and 'The Life of a Showgirl' come from the same source," Gerben further wrote. In Swift's case, the attorney noted that the two titles may communicate separate ideas. "Confessions of a Showgirl," he said, reads like "a personal narrative or tell-all account," while "The Life of a Showgirl" suggests "a broader portrayal of the experience itself."

"Not long ago, we collectively realized she had been living inside what many of us believed was an unjust conservatorship. A system where people around her were financially benefiting while she was being controlled. That was real. That mattered. And it took a massive public effort for the world to acknowledge it."

Carr's film, which she collaborated on with journalist Jenny Eliscu, investigated Spears' quest to control her own affairs, while locked in a legal conservatorship overseen by the father, Jamie Spears, which was put in place in 2008, when she was in her 20s. It was finallylifted in 2021.

The court's decision to do away with the legal arrangement followed public outcry, via the #FreeBritney movement and reports of exactly how much she had been limited by the conservatorship, including that of Carr and Eliscu.

"Recent events do not suddenly rewrite that history," Carr wrote in her post. "They do not validate what was done to her."

She continued, "Britney is a woman, a beautiful and insanely talented woman, who has been through more than most of us could imagine while the entire world watched. Maybe the lesson is not to swing from sympathy to judgment depending on the news cycle. Maybe the lesson is compassion."

The Grammy winner wasarrestedMarch 4 on suspicion of DUI. She was picked up by the California Highway Patrol in Ventura County, Calif., about 9:30 p.m., according to records from the sheriff's office. She was then booked and released at 6 a.m. Thursday.

"I am rooting for her. Always," Carr said. "And you should be too."

Following Spears' arrest, her rep said in a statement to PEOPLE, "This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable. Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney's life."

The rep added that Spears' loved ones hope the pop icon "can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time." There were plans for her adult sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, whom she shares with ex Kevin Federline, to spend time with her.

"Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well being," the spokesperson said.

ActorJohn Lithgowreminded the late-night host of that Monday when he stopped by the CBS staple.

TheConclaveactor and poet read Colbert some words on the situation:

"The time has arrived/For us all to prepare/For the doleful departure of Stephen Colbert," Lithgow began. "How will we last in the gaping black hole/That's left in the absence of his merry soul?"

Colbert and his series are scheduled to end in just over two months. The franchise debuted with David Letterman as host in August 1993. Colbert took over in September 2015, and the final episode will be Thursday, May 21.

Colbert announced the news during a taping ofLate Night With Seth Meyersin January. It followed CBS' revelation in July that the showwould not returnfor another season.

"The Late Show With Stephen Colbertwill end its historic run in May 2026 at the end of the broadcast season," the network said in a statement. "We consider Stephen Colbert irreplaceable and will retireThe Late Showfranchise at that time. We are proud that Stephen called CBS home. He and the broadcast will be remembered in the pantheon of greats that graced late night television."

The statement added that the cancellation was "purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night. It is not related in any way to the show's performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount."

Questions about the endof the series and the timing of it have persisted, though.

President Donald Trump infamouslycelebratedafter the news broke.

"I absolutely love that Colbert got fired," Trump wrote on social media. "His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert! Greg Gutfeld is better than all of them combined, including the Moron on NBC who ruined the once greatTonight Show."

Lithgow, who's known for his anti-Trump works, pointedly addressed the end of the series.

RAYMONDVILLE, Texas (AP) — A family whose two teen boys are in a nationally recognized mariachi band in South Texas was reunited Monday afternoon after bipartisan criticism that the Trump administration'scampaign for mass deportationoverreached by detaining the family.

Brothers Antonio Gámez-Cuéllar, 18, and Joshua, 14, were detained along with their 12-year-old brother and their parents Feb. 25. The teenage boys were prominent members of the McAllen High School Mariachi Oro band, which has visited the White House, performed at Carnegie Hall and won eight state championships.

The two younger boys and their parents were released Monday from a family detention center in Dilley, Texas, said U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro, a Texas Democrat who visited them, marking histhird visitto the detention center.

Antonio was released on Monday by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement from a detention center in Raymondville, Texas.

"They were ecstatic. They were crying. They were excited to be reunited with their son and brother, Antonio, who was being held separately in Raymondville," Castro said at a news conference in San Antonio. "But their mom kept asking, 'What did we do wrong? We followed all the rules. We went to court, we haven't done anything wrong.'"

The family had been checking in regularly with immigration authorities, as instructed, when they were detained, according to a relative and a girlfriend who organized a GoFundMe account for the family.

The Department of Homeland Security said the parents, Emma Guadalupe Cuellar Lopez and Luis Antonio Gamez Martinez, were arrested by immigration authorities and "chose" to bring their three children with them. The department said they entered the U.S. illegally in 2023 near Brownsville, Texas.

Efrén C. Olivares, an attorney with the National Immigration Law Center representing the eldest son, Antonio, clarified that the family entered lawfully through the CBP One app, a legal pathway, in 2023.

Olivares said Antonio was released after attorneys filed a parole request with ICE which ICE granted, and attorneys did not need to ask for a judge's order.

Elected officials from across the political spectrum voiced support for the family, who are from Mexico and had sought asylum in the U.S. and were going through their immigration proceedings.

"I challenge my colleagues to work together for new enforcement policies that not only secure our border but make safer communities and that ultimately are common sense," U.S. Rep. Monica de la Cruz, a Republican congresswoman representing McAllen, in Raymondville after Antonio's release.

McAllen's Republican mayor, Javier Villalobos, said he supported the family and said he continues to advocate for "responsible pathways for law abiding individuals who want to contribute to our economy, support their families, and become productive neighbors in McAllen."

U.S. Rep. Adriano Espaillat, a New York Democrat and chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, called the family's detention "outrageous."

The boys' mariachi directors visited the family held in Dilley earlier Monday. Alex Treviño, the mariachi director and Neri Fuentes, the assistant director, said the kids were concerned about losing their playing abilities.

"They were worried that their fingers weren't going to work, because they don't have instruments," Treviño said.

Antonio, who had been held apart from the family due to his age, recently won the first chair for trumpet in a state competition.

"This year he's going to be graduating from high school and going to college and joining some other groups in college. He wants to be a music educator," Fuentes said.

Castro attributed the release of the family to an "ensemble" effort and said he continues to push for the family detention center in Dilley to be closed. He said the population at the detention facility had gone down from about 1,100 people in January to about 450 people, with about 100 of them being children.

These people will steal your chair while you're still sitting in it," an insider claimed. They highlighted that nobody should allegedly be trusted in the news station, including "hair and makeup people to the producers."

Furthermore, the outlet revealed that the rising broadcasters at the station were allegedly hoping for good news for them when NBC bosses "held a production meeting." But the higher-ups reportedly announced Savannah's return and asked the staff to pray for her and her family.

Earlier, a spokesperson for "Today" toldPEOPLEabout the journalist's arrival at the studio. "Savannah Guthrie stopped by the studio this morning to be with and thank her Today colleagues," they stated. Furthermore, they mentioned that the date of Savannah's return to work had not been announced yet.

For now, she would likely be with her family and help with the investigation of her mother.

Six months into his tenure at the Parisian stalwart, the designer staged his second ready-to-wear collection atParis Fashion WeekMonday, where brightly colored cranes rose from a holographic floor — a deliberate signal that the construction is ongoing.

For Parisians who have spent years staring at the real thing above Notre-Dame cathedral, the set was perhaps less dreamy than intended.

The audience inside the Grand Palais suggested the foundations are solid: Margot Robbie,Oprah, Jennie,Kylie Minogue, Lily-Rose Depp, Teyana Taylor and Olivia Dean all turned up to watch the next floor go on.

The caterpillar and the butterfly

Blazy took his cue from a quote from Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel: "We need dresses that crawl and dresses that fly."

The collection was structured around that tension — plain against spectacular, function against fantasy — with a discipline his sprawling debut last October sometimes lacked.

The opening looks were austere by design.

Black knit zip-ups, tweed blousons and boxy overshirts arrived with little more than four gold buttons to signal they belonged to Chanel.

In the vast runway space, they could read as underwhelming.

But Blazy's point was architectural: the suit, he said, is "the first brick" — and everything else rises from it.

That logic tracks to the founder.

In her apartment on Rue Cambon, a wall is covered in gauze painted gold — something poor made precious.

Chanel built a house on that idea, borrowing from everyday dress and elevating it.

Blazy is doing the same with her codes, stripping the suit to a knit shirt jacket or pressed-tweed blouson before rebuilding it in silicone-woven fabric and metallic mesh.

Dropping the waistline, raising the stakes

The collection's most provocative move was its silhouette.

Blazy pulled waistlines dramatically low — belts slung to mid-thigh, pleated skirts starting where blazers ended.

The references were retro flapper filtered through a modern lens: drop-waisted twinsets, patchwork dresses with floral embroidery, vivid patterned knits with a twenties pulse.

A furry coat in bold geometric color could have been worn in a chic part of London's Camden.

Whether the ultra-low waistlines will land with the well-heeled clients who pack Chanel's front rows is another question.

Selling a radically new proportion to women with deep loyalty to the house is a different challenge than winning critical praise.

When night fell

The final stretch answered that concern with force. Sequined plaid suits arrived in dazzling color. Beaded coats glinted with star-chart embroidery.

Metallic mesh was woven to mimic tweed motifs, and several models wore pastel-tinted hair to match their looks.

Fabric flowers burst from bodices.

Trailing ribbons, layered ruffles, and insect-wing detailing turned the runway into something closer to spectacle than commerce.

Blazy cast wide — teens through to women in their fifties — and let the show breathe, with a runway circuit that took models the better part of five minutes.

He framed it all with seven pared-back black and cream looks, as if to say: whatever else changes, the Chanel you know isn't going anywhere.

If this second outing holds — on the penultimate day of fashion week — Blazy has found something rare at a heritage house: a way to honor the founder's voice without simply echoing it.
