Disney no longer owns the Anaheim Ducks, but their 2025 No. 1 draft pick has received the full Disney treatment.

The Ducks used the No. 10 overall pick on Roger McQueen, a 6-5 center from Brandon (Manitoba) of the Western Hockey League.

His selection was announced in the first round June 27 by two actors from the 1992 "The Mighty Ducks" movie. Joshua Jackson played Charlie Conway and Marguerite Moreau played Connie Moreau in the movie.

Afterward, he and his parents were whisked by helicopter to Disneyland, where he got to pose next to Lightning McQueen from the "Cars" movie.

And now going one step further, Roger McQueen will wear No. 95, the same number for the car in the movie, the Ducks announced.

The Ducks, who began play as a 1933-94 expansion franchise, were originally owned by Disney and called the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.

Henry and Susan Samueli reached an agreement in 2005 to purchase the team. They renamed it the Anaheim Ducks in 2006-07, and the franchise won a Stanley Cup that season.
