The Wednesday, Aug. 27 Powerball prize is worth a whopping $815 million, the seventh-largest in the game's history, with an estimated cash value of $367.9 million.

The winnings rolled over from the drawing on the night of Monday, Aug. 25, after no ticket matched the following six numbers: 16, 19, 34, 37, 64 and red Powerball 22. The Power Play multiplier was 3X.

Two people in Georgia and Texas took home $1 million prizes after matching all five white balls, Powerball said.

Additionally, 26 tickets won $50,000 prizes, and five tickets won $150,000 prizes.

The upcoming Powerball drawing, which is scheduled for 10:59 p.m. ET on Aug. 27, will be the 38th drawing since the jackpot was last won in California in May. Another lucky California resident claimed a $2.04 billion prize in November 2022, which is the largest in the game's history.

What are my options if I win the Powerball?

If the jackpot is claimed after Wednesday's drawing, the winner will be able to choose between a $815 million prize paid out in installments or a lump sum payment estimated at $367.9 million. Both of the prize options are before taxes.

If the winner chooses the annuity option, they'll receive one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.

Drawings are livestreamed on Powerball.com every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET.

What are my chances of winning the Powerball?

The overall odds of winning a lottery prize are 1 in 24.9, while the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million. Powerball tickets are $2 each and can be purchased at grocery stores and gas stations.

To play, customers must select five numbers from 1 to 69 for the white balls and one number from 1 to 26 for a red Powerball. Customers can either choose their own numbers or have numbers selected at random.

By purchasing Power Play for an additional $1, players can potentially have their prize increased by two, three, four, five or 10 times.
