Shania Twain is celebrating another year of fun around the sun.

On Thursday, Aug. 28, the "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" singer marked her 60th birthday with a nostalgic post on Instagram. The post included a throwback photo of herself in a dressing room and a current photo where the singer is wearing a white button down top and black briefs.

"Happy birthday to me! How can I be 60? So glad to have kept some photos from this time in the 80s when I had no idea what was ahead of me and Shania f---ing Twain didn't exist yet 😂," she wrote.

"I can't begin to explain how grateful I am for the life that i have. For my family, friends, fans and the inspiration I get from all of you ❤️," she added.

Twain concluded, "I've tried to stay true to myself along the way and that's my intention moving forward into the next chapter."

Earlier this month, Twain commemorated the end of her Live in Concert summer tour by sharing a compilation of photos on Instagram

"I can't believe the Live In Concert summer tour is over already!! I have had the best time on the road with you all!! Every night was a party and every crowd brought their a-game in outfits, dance moves and vocals," Twain wrote.

Adding, "You guys truly are the most fun, fabulous, kick-ass fans anyone could ask for 🥹💖 Now it's time for me to wind down... only joking, you know I love to work 😜 I'm off to work on new music... Stay tuned!"

Speaking with PEOPLE in February, the "Any Man of Mine" singer said it was "humbling" and "rewarding" that she's inspired the next generation of music stars, including Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter, Kelsea Ballerini and more.

"It is very moving," Twain said, "and I relate to what they say when they talk about me and how they're feeling and how they express it to me personally."

"I relate to it in the sense that I felt that way when I was younger about other artists that had already been where I was headed, or where I was dreaming about being and what I was aspiring to become, and how I felt in my heart and my mind of what I would say if I had ever had the chance to meet them," she continued.

Twain added: "So I can imagine that is what they're feeling in those moments."

The "That Don't Impress Me Much" singer released her latest studio album, Queen of Me, in 2023. When she announced the album, she opened up about its source of inspiration in an Instagram post.

"These days, I'm feeling very comfortable in my own skin — and I think this album reflects that musically. Life is short and I want to be uplifted, colorful, unapologetic and empowered," she wrote at the time. "I want to carry a clear message, particularly as a woman, to always remember my power and I hope the songs are a reminder to you, of that same power inside you!"
