TV's biggest night is just around the corner with the 77th Emmy Awards scheduled to take place next month in Los Angeles.
Nominations for this year's awards were announced on July 14 during a live ceremony hosted by Harvey Guillén, Brenda Song and Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego.
Leading the pack with the most mentions is Apple TV+'s drama "Severance," with an impressive 27 nods, followed by HBO Max's "The Penguin," with 24. HBO's "The White Lotus" tied for third place with 23 honors, while the network's "The Last of Us" earned 16 nominations. Apple TV+'s "The Studio" also tied the record set in 2024 by "The Bear" for most nominations for a comedy series.
The eligibility dates for the 2024 Emmy Awards apply to shows that aired between June 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025. Only shows that aired in those 12 months were nominated.

Who's hosting the 2025 Emmy Awards this year?
Comedian Nate Bargatze has been tapped to make his Emmy-hosting debut, the Television Academy announced April 16.
"It's a huge honor to be asked to host such an iconic awards show and I'm beyond excited to work with CBS to create a night that can be enjoyed by families around the world," Bargatze said in a statement.
Father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy hosted the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards last year.

How to watch the 2025 Emmy Awards
The Emmy Awards ceremony will air on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT and will also be livestreamed for Paramount+ subscribers with Showtime. Other Paramount+ subscribers will have access to the ceremony the following day.
