This Dachshund Pack Has a Mom, a Bodyguard, and a Cuddle Buddy — Meet Them All

This Dachshund Pack Has a Mom, a Bodyguard, and a Cuddle Buddy — Meet Them All

When you’re part of a pack, it’s natural that everyone suddenly plays a specific role in the group. This unwritten rule isn’t just for humans—apparently, dogs like to share responsibilities within a group, too. The pups behind the social media account @TheDachshundPack are no exception. With a new Dachshund running rampant around the house, it’s only natural that each one has found something to do to help keep their new buddy safe.

Despite being the same breed, each of these dogs has unofficially assigned itself a role in the group now that a new puppy has joined. Anyone with older or younger siblings knows these roles never really change, and it’s pure chaos for life.

“That’s a lot of sausages!”

Leading the pack is Luna, who plays the role of adoptive mother to her new sibling. Exuding peak eldest-daughter energy, Luna is clearly the one keeping everyone under control, and she’ll continue to do so with the newest addition. Following Luna is Zada, the big sister who doesn’t want to deal with her younger sibling. Despite being older, Zada couldn’t be more unbothered about teaching her sibling the ropes, and honestly, we find that iconic.

In the middle of the pack is Meka, the built-in bestie. Clearly everyone’s favorite sibling, Meka is there whenever the new puppy needs a cuddle buddy or a playmate. Speaking of cuddle buddies, Kyro is a great example, too. Whenever it’s time for a cozy nap, everyone knows Kyro is ready to lead the charge.

With all the shenanigans surrounding the new puppy, Enzo has taken it upon himself to keep everyone safe as the group’s bodyguard and inspector. No one is going astray on his watch, especially the group’s newest sibling.

As everyone adjusts to life with a new puppy, these Dachshunds are clearly stepping into their designated roles.

Viewers in the comments couldn’t get enough of the group’s chaos and made sure to share the love with all of the adorable pups.

“That’s a lot of sausages!” one user joked.

Another added, “The fact that Luna looks like the pup kinda is even more adorable! Zada and Meka look like her even more!”

“I’m bringing my Dachshund home on Friday. I couldn’t be more excited, and my cat will have a friend again,” another Dachshund parent shared.

Whether or not these roles remain permanent is yet to be seen, but we do know that with five siblings already assigned to the task, this new puppy is in for quite a treat.
